February 2025. During my three months in a refugee camp on Lesbos, I gained a wealth of life experience. Afterward, I reunited with my Brazilian friend Lia in Antalya. Together, we completed a one-month Workaway in Duacı, a small village about 30 minutes from Antalya’s city center. During that time, we grew very close and became good friends. After more than six months of traveling, I hitchhiked back from Antalya to my former home in southern Germany in March – though it was starting to feel less and less like home.
